BeSafe@Work
Risk Assessment is often of little focus in an
executive workplace, yet the importance of providing a safe environment
for workers is as relevant to offices as it is to an industrial setting.
Undertaking a BeLife Risk Assessment ensures that your business complies
with the NSW Occupational Health & Safety Legislation Act of 2000.
Risk
Assessment is relevant if your company objectives include:
- To secure and promote the health,
safety and welfare of staff whilst in the workplace;
- Protection of individuals at their
place of work against risks to health or safety out of the activities
of other individuals at work
- Promotion of a safe and healthy
environment for individuals at work that protects them from physical
injury and illness (including stress-related) and that is adapted
to their physiological needs
- To provide for consultation and
co-operation between employers and employees in achieving the objects
of the NSW OH&S Legislation Act
- To ensure that risks to health
and safety at the place of work are identified, assessed and eliminated
or controlled
- To develop and promote group awareness
of occupational health and safety issues

The
Risk Assessment Process Involves:
- Identification
of all work teams
- Identification
of all manual handling techniques
- Identification
of procedural tasks & ergonomic structures
- Identification
of all associated hazards
- Assessment
of the risks
- Ranking
of each hazard
- Prioritising
each hazard upon ranking
- Developing
an action plan to address the hazards
- Identification
and implementation of control measures
Reporting
Upon the completion of the
risk assessment a report is provided to management identifying risks
and outlining the control measures that are to be put into place.
